In short, I don't think Google is lying about having a fix in place. I see enough signs that something really happened. I just think it's a pretty weak solution, because it was rushed. Hopefully we will see this improve over the days and weeks. I also think we're going to see it fail to help for a wide variety of other quests that are problematic because it's hard to fix for every fairly rare quest, as I've explained before. Expect more horror to come So, attach you belt. Google is likely to be on a long journey of having one problematic search after another.
As I said before, it certainly deserves some criticism on this. As I said before, Cadwalladr deserves huge praise for bringing attention to these issues. But as I also said before, this is not something that I think will be solved easily, nor is it just a "right bias" problem or just a Google fax number list problem. I mean - are white people inbred?
